Nick Jonas is disappointed his songs Close and Bacon will never be competing for MTV Video Music Awards prizes later.

The 23-year-old singer did not land an individual nomination if the categories were announced on Tuesday, and the man turned to web 2 . 0 to share his feelings with fans throughout the road with another snubbed artist, Demi Lovato.

“Disappointed together with the fact Close got no passion for the #VMAs2016,” Nick tweeted.

Jonas’ Close promo grabbed headlines around the world when it was published in March for the racy content – Nick and his awesome duet partner Tove Lo set tongues wagging after locking lips from the steamy music video.

However, despite his disappointment, Jonas will not let the VMAs nomination snub get him down, deciding to instead to pay attention to the positive things in your life.

He added: “Actually after considering it more there are lots of amazing things happening during my life and career. 9 outside of 10 boxes are checked… Won’t allowed this to one thing reach me. I’m feeling so inspired and grateful nowadays. Gonna focus much more about caring less regarding the small stuff… Everything is awesome.”

Nick and Demi weren’t the only real acts surprisingly left over nominations list – Taylor Swift didn’t grab any mentions.

Beyonce leads all artists with 11 nods for Lemonade, work high, while Adele follows with eight on her Hello and Send My Love (To Your New Lover) visuals.

The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards is going to take place in New York City at Madison Square Garden on 28 August.
